Welcome to the Black Forest holiday region and this unique holiday house. St. Georgen is located on the watershed between the Rhine and Danube at an elevation of 800 to 1000 metres. Come relax in this original Black Forest mill house, furnished in a rustic style. The detached holiday house is located in the district of Brigach in an idyllic setting directly on the namesake Bach Brigach, a tributary of the Danube. Enjoy the sun on your private terrace with garden furniture, a grill, a sunbathing lawn and a wonderful view.
The house is located about 2.5 km from the town of Sankt Georgen, surrounded by nature. You can explore the nearby Schwarzwaldhof (just about 150 metres away) with animals and a playground. There are kilometres of hiking and biking trails that lead through this attractive and diverse region. A large natural swimming beach is an inviting place to spend time in summer, as is the modern indoor pool which is open year round. Come experience this vibrant mountain town with its wide array of shopping and dining options. Favourite daytrip destinations: Triberg (waterfalls, Black Forest Museum and nature park), Gutach (historic farms), Schramberg, Europapark Rust, Lake Constance with Mainau Island, Konstanz, Freiburg and many more
A special highlight: The Konus Card (included in the tourist tax) lets you make use of the local public transportation and many other offerings free of charge.

Lovely holiday home in a largely still intact watermill. Excellent location close to both road and railway connections yet still fairly quiet (maybe some farming noises). Shops nearby in St Georgen. Small house but fully equipped. Very welcoming and friendly owners. Had lovely breakfast together on the last morning. Just one sliver away from being fantastic but I'm sure that little problem will be dealt with shortly so the next occupants can enjoy this old mill to its full extent!

Ich wollte mit meiner Hündin Aika vor dem Alltag und berufsstress fliehen und dort hat es hervorragend geklappt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

Me and my boyfriend wanted to hide away from the world for a weekend and this house was perfect. The house is located on a creek (since it is an old watermill), and away from the big road or trains. If the window was open we could hear the creek which was nice. We even had snow (just a little, but still) which was great as well.
The only negative thing was the small kitchen (2 pits, no oven) and the lack of counter top space. A car is needed to get there and to get around. For a good restaurant you will need to drive 15 minutes or more. The furniture was old fashioned but that fits with the house and the area.
A tip would be to install a light in the mechanics of the watermill so that you can see them better. The mechanics are really cool and were one of the reasons we choose this house.
We had a great time!

We hebben erg genoten van ons lange weekend in de Brigachmuhle! De familie is super gastvrij. De omgeving prachtig. Het huisje zelf, een uniek exemplaar, gebouwd om de oude molen. Zeker een aanrader!!

We enjoyed our week at this lovingly converted property, and the Haas family made us extremely welcome whilst giving us privacy. Ideal for a young family, although the provided stair gates are necessary with toddlers.
